In a 45–60 minute lecture, author Nathalie Zonnenberg will discuss the questions and issues at the heart of this book. Approaching conceptual art from the perspective of curating and exhibiting it, she will offer different historical perspectives and touch upon the case studies described in the book, among which the renowned exhibition When Attitudes Become Form Bern 1969 / Venice 2013.
Conceptual Art in a Curatorial Perspective: Between Dematerialization and Documentationfocuses on the curatorial practice of exhibiting conceptual art. This book looks at the challenges and paradoxes in exhibiting this ‘dematerialized’ art and offers different perspectives on how to deal with them, through historical analysis and three detailed case studies.
