Ruben Pater (geb. 1977, NL) is opgeleid als grafisch ontwerper, werkte in diverse bureaus, zelfstandig en in het onderwijs (oa MA KABK). Met Untold Stories produceert Pater kritisch werk op het snijvlak van grafisch ontwerp, journalistiek en activisme. Zijn eerste boek The Politics of Design (BIS, 2016) is —zoals onderhavig boek— een inspirerend bronnenboek voor ontwerpstudenten, docenten en visuele communicatoren over de hele wereld.
