On Saturday 3 October 2026, Toneelhuis and ARIA are organizing a discussion on grief and loss, organized by Pascal Gielen. The discussion takes place in the context of the music theater production Siddharta by Lisaboa Houbrechts, which will run from 1 October 2026 through January 31, 2027. In light of with this production, four guests will discuss how we deal with grief and loss in a society where pain and suffering is frequently spoken about and and depicted in images, yet where grief remains primarily a private matter and mourning seems to have a time limit.

This programme will be held in Dutch. Featuring Ernst van Alphen, Khalid Benhaddou, Trees Dewever, and Marlies De Munck, moderated by Anna Luyten.
