Sharjah Art Foundation's annual art book fair, FOCAL POINT, returns for its second edition with a wide range of printed matter. The three-day event will feature regional and international artists and publishers, participating either by invitation or through an open call, who will present their content individually or within curated sections. A public program of talks, screenings, book launches, open studios and themed educational workshops will run alongside the book fair. This year marks the launch of the FOCAL POINT Publishing Grant, an award that supports book and print projects as well as independent set-ups demonstrating a long-term plan for publishing books and other printed matter.FOCAL POINT 2019 will take place from November 14 to 16, 2019 in Bait Obaid Al Shamsi, located in Sharjah’s Arts Square. Valiz will be participating in Focal Point for the first time this edition; we are looking forward to presenting our books and upcoming projects in Sharjah.
