Valiz returns to the London Art Book Fair! For four exciting days, creative and cutting-edge publishers, big and small, transform galleries 1 and 2 of Whitechapel Gallery into the London Art Book Fair. Meet Astrid from Valiz, browse through our books and discover a vibrant mix of art books and magazines from around the world. Furthermore, you will have the chance to take part in collaborative workshops, publisher-led seminars and various other activities.
Additionally, during this year's fair, the winners of the first edition of the Richard Schlagman Art Book Awards will be announced. This new prize, founded in 2019, celebrates the best in international arts publishing in the English language We are delighted that two Valiz publications have made it to the shortlist of two categories:
Nathalie Zonnenberg's Conceptual Art in a Curatorial Perspective: Between Dematerialization and Documentation is nominated as 'Best Contribution to Art History'
Sovereign Words: Indigenous Art, Curation and Criticism, realized in collaboration with Office for Contemporary Art Norway is shortlisted in the category "Best Book on Contemporary Art'.
