Eleven participants from the Werkplaats Typografie asked an equal number of Dutch graphic designers to join forces with them during their work period in the Chaumont Graphic Arts Festival (2006, France). Dutch Resource is a report of that collaboration: eleven different sections give an idea of each person’s working method and show how the dialogue was put into practice. The book gives an accurate picture of the uncompromising practice of the graphic designer, a specialist and jack-of-all-trades in one, who is not only meant to be a good designer but often works as a writer, researcher, editor, curator, critic and photographer as well.
